Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using CareerIntelligence at careerintelligence.app ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. Description of service

CareerIntelligence provides AI-powered career tools including:

• Job description and resume match analysis
• ATS (Applicant Tracking System) resume scoring
• AI-powered resume rewriting
• AI cover letter generation
• Interview preparation and question prediction
• Competitor candidate profile analysis

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice to users.

3. Accounts and registration

To use most features of CareerIntelligence, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Not share your account with any other person
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that are found to be shared, used fraudulently, or in violation of these Terms.

4. Subscription plans and billing

Free plan

The Free plan provides limited access to the Service at no charge. Free plan users receive 2 analyses per month. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Free plan with 30 days notice.

Paid plans

Pro ($19/month) and Serious Career ($49/month) plans are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months, except where required by applicable law.

Refunds

All subscription payments are non-refundable. A free plan is available for you to try CareerIntelligence before committing to a paid subscription — we encourage you to use it to evaluate the platform. Once a paid subscription is activated, no refunds will be issued except where required by applicable law.

Price changes

We may change subscription prices with 30 days advance notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email before any price change takes effect.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use CareerIntelligence only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:

• Use the Service to create fraudulent or misleading job applications
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use the Service to process data belonging to other people without their consent
• Resell, redistribute, or commercialise access to the Service without our written permission
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or billing systems
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the platform

6. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to CareerIntelligence, including your resume text, job descriptions, and any other materials.

By submitting content to the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content solely for the purpose of providing you with the analysis results you have requested. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You represent and warrant that you have the right to submit the content you provide and that doing so does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

7. AI-generated content

CareerIntelligence makes no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for your specific circumstances. The Service is a tool to assist your job search — the final responsibility for any application you submit rests with you.

AI-generated cover letters and resume content should be reviewed, personalised, and edited before submission. You should not submit AI-generated content without ensuring it accurately reflects your own experience and qualifications.

8. Intellectual property

The CareerIntelligence platform, including its design, software, brand, and all proprietary content, is owned by CareerIntelligence and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on any part of the Service without our express written permission.

The CareerIntelligence name, logo, and tagline "Know more. Apply smarter. Go further." are trademarks of CareerIntelligence.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will remain in effect after termination.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CareerIntelligence shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times
• AI-generated results will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific application
• Using the Service will result in job interviews or employment offers
• ATS scores reflect how any specific employer's system will evaluate your resume

12. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your account.
